On behalf of the Planetkids team we welcome you to Planetshakers City Church, and thank you for entrusting us with your child!

Enrolment Procedures:

We can help you enrol your child at Planetkids. Ask any of our leaders at a Planetkids registration table and we will be more than happy to help you with the enrolment form.

Signing In:

Signing in your child every Sunday ensures their name is added to the roll and that a name badge is provided to your child. Upon signing in you will be given a numbered card and if we need to contact you during the Church service, your number will be displayed on the screen. Upon signing out, please return your numbered card to the registration desk. Children leaving parents for the first time may be anxious about being left in a new environment, so please feel free to remain with your child until you feel confident to leave.

Child Protection:

Planetshakers City Church has adopted the Australian Christian Churches National Child Protection Policy and all leaders must be police checked, obtain a working with children check and have a recommendation from a member of the Planetshakers City Church Leadership. No leader is permitted to be alone with a child (there must always be at least two leaders present) at Church or Visitations. Children must not go to toilets alone, and are always escorted by two leaders who will check the toilets to make sure they are safe and free of strangers, then the leaders will allow the children to enter while they wait outside the toilet block. Adult visitors attending any of the Planetkids Services will be given a visitor badge so that they are easily identifiable to leaders, parents and children.

Discipline:

We try to make our programs fun, fresh and powerful so that a child will not become disruptive. We also use positive reinforcement and team competitions where points are awarded for good behaviour and deducted for innapropriate behaviour. In extreme circumstances a child may be placed back into the adult service with their parent. Parents will be notified of innapropriate behaviour.

Curriculum:

We write and develop our own curriculum, called '4', which works on a monthly theme and explores various topics that are important to children. This character building curriculum is video-based and features exciting and cutting-edge visual effects and strong Biblical teaching.

Kids In Ministry:

We encourage children to begin to explore their gifts by providing opportunities for them to contribute, such as puppets, dance, singing, preaching, etc.

Movies:

All movies shown at Sunday services or Friday Night live are 'G' rated.

Planetkids Team:

We are proud of our Childrens' Ministry Team. They undergo National Police Checks, Working with Children Checks and are screened and interviewed before joining the team. Once successful, they train weekly on topics relating to Childrens' Ministry (i.e. counselling, object lessons, worship leading, craft etc.). Our team also attend conferences and training days.
